Mr. Upendra Dhakal came to the United States in 2008 at the age of 17 as a student, leaving behind his home and family in Kathmandu, Nepal.

With little more than ambition and determination, he stepped into a new country filled with opportunity and challenges. Every setback became a lesson, each one laying another brick toward a bigger dream.

 During his entrepreneurial journey, shortly after the birth of his daughter, Upendra began sketching ideas for a family ranch. Not in offices or design studios, but on plain paper at coffee shops, in quiet corners where his imagination could flow freely. Those early sketches were simple, yet they captured a bold vision: a sanctuary where people could escape the pressures of everyday life, reconnect with loved ones, and celebrate life’s milestones in a space that was both luxurious and welcoming.

Over the years, Upendra’s vision grew alongside his journey. Every success, setback, and lesson added another brick to the foundation of his dream.

Through it all, his wife and children remained the heart of his journey — the inspiration behind every late night, every sacrifice, and every step forward.

Today that vision has become Dhakal Ranch, a 15-acre sanctuary just outside Dallas. Open skies, peaceful ponds, private trails, and thoughtfully designed spaces create the perfect setting for weddings, retreats, and celebrations.

Every corner of the ranch reflects years of perseverance and careful planning — from sketches on coffee-stained paper to the luxury retreat it is today.
